About Erica
For over 15 years, Erica has been teaching voice and piano in Palo Alto. She holds a degree in classical voice from the USC Thornton School of Music and is a trained opera singer. In addition to her classical background, Erica is an experienced musical theater performer and coaches students for auditions and competitions in the field.

Her voice students have performed with renowned local theaters, including the Palo Alto Players, Los Altos Stage Company, Hillbarn Theater, Woodside Musical Theater, CMT San Jose, Peninsula Youth Theater, and the Palo Alto Children's Theater. Many of her students participate in the prestigious Certificate of Merit (CM) program through the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC). They have also earned top placements—1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mentions—at SF Bay NATS Singing Festivals and have excelled in Regional and National NATS Student Auditions across Classical, Musical Theater, and Commercial Music categories.

Erica has spent the past three summers singing opera in Italy, Greece, and Spain. She recently performed in Seussical with Woodside Musical Theater (2023) and will appear in A Christmas Story with Los Altos Stage Company in December 2024.

Currently, Erica is pursuing a degree in vocal pedagogy from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in partnership with The Voice Study Centre. Her research focuses on improving vocal pedagogy for students with pitch-matching difficulties, aiming to enhance teaching methods for those struggling with pitch accuracy. She presented her findings at the 2024 NATS Central West Region Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Erica works with students of all ages and can teach many genres of singing including pop, rock, jazz, country, classical, opera and musical theater. Erica offers voice lessons online via Zoom and also in-person in Palo Alto California.
